Get To Know Me
Emerson Williams
Hey there! I’m Emerson, and I grew up in North Carolina. I am a daughter to two loving parents, a sister to a Firefighter/EMT, and an Aunt to a wonderful nephew. I have two Great Danes, Ember and Otis. As a kid, I loved doing Meals on Wheels with my grandparents. As I got older, my mom would “voluntold” me to join her in all sorts of activities, like Meals on Wheels, the Boys and Girls Club, and Backpack Pals, and I ended up really enjoying them. I studied nutrition in and fell in love with the public health side of things. I also worked as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, focusing on Community Wellness from UNCG, and now I’m a WIC nutritionist, which I still do today. This website is just a fun project for me right now. I’m gearing up to start grad school in spring at Appalachian State University (App State) to get my Master’s in Nutrition with a focus on Public Health. After that, I’m planning to become a Licensed Nutritionist. Ideally, I’d love to teach in the Culinary department at a local community college or, you know, marry rich and start a homestead!
